Advocacy & Communication Officer

Job Description:

The candidate will perform the following tasks:

  1. Play a lead role in the development and designing of all communication,promotional and visibility material such as leaflets, brochures, policy briefs, etc.;
  2. Carry out research on different areas of public health, as and when required by the organization and document the findings in a brief/paper/report for record and sharing;
  3. Prepare program/project related documents/writeups required by the organization from time to time;
  4. Conduct a thorough proof reading and professional editing of all documents, reports, and publications developed by the Forum;
  5. Actively contribute in the planning, development and designing of all communication,promotional and visibility material of the organization;
  6. Create customized reports and analysis as and when needed;
  7. Represent Forum for Women Development and Research in different advocacy working groups, meetings, workshops, seminar, trainings and briefing sessions as appropriate and ensure proper documentation and circulation of the key updates in this connection;
  8. Develop easy-to-follow and interactive presentations for showcasing organizational activities and present these in a manner that is both effective as well as engaging;
  9. Assist in the planning, implementation, coordination, monitoring and reporting of all program/project activities undertaken by the organization;
  10. Support the management in different operational matters from time to time;
  11. Participate in regular program internal and external meetings;
  12. Any other task as assigned by the management.

 

Qualification and Experience:

  • Masters in a relevant field from a well reputed national or international university;
  • Experience of 2-3 years in similar capacity will be preferred;
  • Exceptional writing and strong communication skills (in English language) are an absolute must;
  • Must be well versed with computer use especially with the use of MS Office;
  • Must be energetic, a team player and have an eagerness to learn and develop professionally;
  • Should possess strong work ethics and values.

 

Travel:

This position will be based in Islamabad and will require minimum travel (10%).

Duration:

1 year

Contract may be revised/extended depending on performance and availability of funds.

Remuneration:

Will be decided on the basis of experience and salary history.

Reports To:

National Coordinator

Note:

This position will be based in our main Secretariat located in DHA Phase 5 Islamabad.
