Listening to What Women Want for Family Planning in Qambar Shahdadkot, Sindh

The Forum for Safe Motherhood (FSM), with the support of Costed Implementation Plan (CIP) Secretariat, organized a two-day listening session as part of the What Women Want for Family Planning project, at Qambar ShahdadKot, Sindh Pakistan. The listening session served to amplify the voices and demands of women regarding family planning services and take these demands to the relevant decision makers at the district level. The sessions were facilitated by FSM’s Provincial Coordinator and representatives from our partner organizations, The Rural Support Program Network (RSPN) and Sindh Rural Support Organization (SRSO).
The participants in the listening session on the first day included 13 women from the What Women Want (WWW) campaign that happened in 2019. In addition to the WWW campaign participants, two Lady Health Workers (LHWs) participated in the listening session. The second day of the session was chaired by the District Health Officer. Session attendees included the Deputy Population Welfare Officer, District Manager of People Primary Healthcare Initiative (PPHI) Sindh, District Manager of Integrated Health Services (IHS), District Community Officer National Program, Representative of CIP Secretariat, Focal Person of District Health Information System (DHIS), District Program Officer SRSO, the Provincial Coordinator of FSM, and vocal WWW campaign participants.
